Improves Mathematics Skills

Gambling can help improve student's mathematics skills through practicing probability, addition, combinations, and permutations with games that will keep high schoolers attentive while allowing them to see the actual applications of mathematics outside of the classroom. More specifically, students practice permutations when partaking in games such as lotteries, and they improve their skills with combinations when playing card games such as poker and blackjack where they must consider both their and their opponent's possible cards and deternine if the odds mathematically in their favor. A gambling club has great potential to increase the amount of students in a school who are genuinly interested in math and teach them to apply it. They learn the skills of mathematics quickly and in the form of games that they love, leading to teens who are more engaged and involved in mathematics classes.

Improves Social and Life Skills

Gambling can help develop fundemental social skills as well. It allows for students to collaborate with one another to try and learn how to win against the house as they go over different strategies taught such as card counting and bluffing. In addition, having experience when others are bluffing in the club can greatly help members understand when people outside of gambling may be lying or have ulterior motives. Games where bluffing is a common strategy will allow students to also develop more emotional understanding as they have to put themselves in their opponent's shoes and understand them. It also helps with students' decision-making skills as they would have to chose what would be best in a short amount of time. Overall, a gambling club would prepare members well for their future through developing crucial skills such as perception, emotional intelligence, and decision-making.

The Basic Benefits of Gambling

Gambling can also help student's mental health. According to a study from the National Institute of Health, those who took part in gambling simulations all showed increased happiness afterwards without any negetive side effects found afterwards. Gambling also teaches fiscal responsibility as students have to keep money in mind while playing and deciding how much to bet in certain situations.
